Let there be Light

Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.… -Genesis 1:3

Light has always been a strong concept in many religions.  The absence of darkness is light. I have done countless therapies in order to resolve my issues, which also includes a multitude of light therapies such as LED and UV lamps. I progressed to using a combination of Sun therapy and Grounding.

Western Medicine is largely ingrained in American society with the idea that they are the most advanced and most logical choice for those who suffer with maladies. In my case, this has not been a road that has worked for me. This is not to state that Western Medicine is not for you, it is a personal choice that must be made with due diligence.

Lyubov Popova
My personal belief follows much of Eastern and Indigenous thinking that Nature has provided the answers. These therapies are based on rootedness, allowing the body to heal itself assuming it has the right raw materials to do this.

Western living has changed drastically over decades where humans lived close to the land which included foods that were fresh and not altered with chemicals or processing. Many of the modern Western diseases are based on this altered living. One of these is a lack of connectedness with Nature, indoor living has deprived us of Nature's healing. Exposure to the Sun is treated with contempt, so people refuse to go out into the Sun, the other is literally being connected to the Earth (Grounding).

There are receptors in our cells to receive light. Studies have shown the benefits of photons such as NASA's experiments with LED light therapy. These studies showed that certain spectrums of light helped in recovery of ailments.

Sun Therapy is self-explanatory, it simply means being exposed to natural sunlight which provides a host of beneficial spectrum of light.

1/ Produces Vitamin D which is now being shown that many cells need Vitamin D for functioning including immune, neurological and endocrinological.

2/ During the 1918 flu epidemic, patients were taken out into fresh air and sunlight. Studies concluded that patients recovered faster. Harvard published a paper on this entitled "Sunlight and Protection Against Influenza", it can be found here  https://research.hks.harvard.edu/publications/getFile.aspx?Id=1654

3/ Boosts Immunity
Researchers at Georgetown University had this to say about sunlight and immunity:

“We all know sunlight provides vitamin D, which is suggested to have an impact on immunity, among other things. But what we found is a completely separate role of sunlight on immunity,” says the study’s senior investigator, Gerard Ahern, PhD, associate professor in the Georgetown’s Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. “Some of the roles attributed to vitamin D on immunity may be due to this new mechanism.”

They specifically found that low levels of blue light, found in sun rays, makes T cells move faster — marking the first reported human cell responding to sunlight by speeding its pace.

“T cells, whether they are helper or killer, need to move to do their work, which is to get to the site of an infection and orchestrate a response,” Ahern says. “This study shows that sunlight directly activates key immune cells by increasing their movement.”

UV Spectrum
The most prevalent light therapy is the use of UV. UV covers a wide spectrum but most are familiar with UV 3 varieties (UVa, UVb and UVc). Sadly, most information is typically skewed and people only hear the negative effects of UV but there are positive benefits of UV.  The Sun is the best source of UV light. Moderate exposure has proven that it has many positive health benefits.

UV is necessary for the production of Vitamin D levels. Contemporary research has shown the many benefits of Vitamin D from staving off diabetes, it also it works in the Neurological, Immune and Endocrine systems. UV light is anti-microbial and can be used as UV blood irraditation.

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." - Gospel of John

Photo-Therapy is used by mainstream medicine . It involves the use of UV light to treat psorasis, Seasonal Adjustment Disorder (SAD) and other neurological diseases.

Color Light Therapy is also known as Chromotherapy. The idea is that light carries energy and this energy is picked up in the body.

"When we speak of color, we mean energy waves. Every color, each with its own frequency, is a form of energy (12). Ghadiali agreed that beaming a color or colors onto the skin acts as a form of feeding color to the body. Patterson of Stellar Research Corporation explains that ‘light is the closest thing to pure energy that we can identify. Colour as pure vibrational energy is the rational therapy for maintaining health and overcoming disease’ (15). When applied to the human body, light will provide all deficient energies since every color is associated with a quantity of energy. A concept from physics confirms the idea of chromotherapists that ‘colors provide energies’."

Grounding

This concept is that we need to be physically connected to the earth without artificial impediments, in other words, come in contact with the ground without shoes.  The idea is quite simple, there are natural frequencies the body resonates with. These frequencies are known as Schumann.

Natural medicine understands that the body, mind and spirit are connected and is dependent on nutrients and balance to function correctly. Adding light can be an integral part of healing.

How Scientists Create Addictive Foods

It’s no secret that the standard American diet is having a terrible effect on human health. What’s is a secret, though, is how the food industry uses science and psychology to create processed food products that are devoid of nutrition, full of chemical additives and colorings, and incredibly addictive.

In fact, the science of how food companies get customers physically, mentally and emotionally hooked on their products reads like a good conspiracy theory. Major food manufacturers know good and well that repeat customers can be made by tricking the mind and body and overriding our natural tendency to seek out healthy, satisfying foods.

“The public and the food companies have known for decades now — or at the very least since this meeting — that sugary, salty, fatty foods are not good for us in the quantities that we consume them. So why are the diabetes and obesity and hypertension numbers still spiraling out of control? It’s not just a matter of poor willpower on the part of the consumer and a give-the-people-what-they-want attitude on the part of the food manufacturers. What I found, over four years of research and reporting, was a conscious effort — taking place in labs and marketing meetings and grocery-store aisles — to get people hooked on foods that are convenient and inexpensive. ” ~Michael Moss
The story revolves physiology, psychology and neuroscience, and three key ingredients: salt, sugar and fat. And at the core of addictive food science is our understanding of physiology and neurochemical responses to foods. Scientists have been able to boil this down to a simple equation: The Food Pleasure Equation.

Gossip: The 8th Deadly Sin Proverbs 18:8

Who am I? I have no respect for justice. I maim without killing. I break hearts and ruin lives. I am cruel and malicious and gather strength with age. The more I am quoted, the more I am believed. I flourish at every level of society. My victims are helpless. They cannot protect themselves against me because I have no name and no face. To track me down is impossible. The harder you try, the more elusive I become. I’m nobody’s friend. Once I tarnish a reputation, it is never the same. I topple governments and ruin marriages. I destroy careers and cause heartache and sleepless nights. I wreck churches and separate Christians. I spawn suspicion and generate grief, make innocent people cry on their pillows. Even my name hisses. I am gossip.
Fifteen hundred years ago Pope Gregory the Great classified the sins that cause humanity to stumble (the 6th century). He looked at every sin mentioned in the Bible and boiled them down to 7 categories of sin. His list of 7 sins is known as The 7 Deadly Sins. The 7 deadly sins are pride, anger, indifference, envy, greed, lust, and gluttony. The 7 deadly sins include nearly every kind of human sin imaginable. But there is a deadly sin that failed to be included in the list of the 7 deadly sins. The 8th deadly sin is gossip.
All the sins of the tongue are deadly. Profanity, insults, lying negativism, complaints, and criticism are all harmful. Gossip is a particularly deadly sin. Gossip has destroyed more people, tarnished more reputations, broken more friendships, and split more churches than any sin I’m aware of. Gossip is quickly told, quickly heard, and quickly spread. Worst of all, gossip is quickly believed. People will confess to theft, adultery, even murder. But no one confesses to gossip.

Gossip is fueled by hell’s flames
Gossip is one of Satan’s fiery arrows that he shoots at us and entices us to shoot at others. The Lord doesn’t mince words in James 3:6 when he tells us about the origin of the sins of the tongue: “The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.”
The flames of hell ignite gossip. Satan is behind all gossip, either directly or indirectly. When we listen to gossip, we give the devil a foothold in our lives. When we speak gossip, we’re speaking as Satan wants us to speak. As the old saying goes, “A gossiper is the devil’s postman.”a

Relationships -When the Body Attacks The Mind

Here is a very good article (link below) about the role of mental/behavioral issues in relationship to the body. It was long thought that mental health was isolated just in the mind but science is proving that theory to be out-dated.

The NEI Supersytem is a study of the Neurological/Endocrine/Immune relationships. This means that each one of these systems influences the other. Take for example psychological stress. This form of stress (emotional) triggers not just the mind but other systems such as the adrenal glands. Inducing the adrenal glands helps the body deal with the threat that is perceived by creating many chemicals (endocrine based). These hormones then begin to influence other systems of the body which would include immunity and neurological.

The immune system is likely the strongest system in the body and will influence many other systems including neurological health. The article discusses a neurological disorder that started with an immune condition.
